Why rent a car in Kourou ?

Although Kourou is one of the main cities in French Guiana and home to the European Space Centre, public transport is very limited.

There are a few bus routes serving the town but the network is limited and many areas are not connected. In addition, there are no taxis or VTCs like in mainland France. In the centre of Kourou, it is possible to get around by bicycle but in the evening and at night it is preferable to use a car, as the roads are not always lit.
